Why “Las Gringuitas” (Fannette)

Clarita is our trip coordinator, planner, guide or as Shirley likes to say, "Mamacita". We started with the idea of driving the Camino de Santiago and expanded from there. Clarita did all our research, sketched out our itinerary, booked our hotels, and kept us all in the loop. As a group we met periodically to talk travel and eventually decided on Las Gringuitas as our 'team' name. Gringo as you know is anglo male while gringa is anglo female. Gringuita is older, anglo female. In the beginning, I explained our name as little old, white ladies, but to be more politically correct I've updated it to mature, white ladies. That does have a bit more modern edginess to it.
